Natasha Attray - Partner
Natasha is a qualified tax practitioner who joined the M&A insurance market in 2018 and has over five years of experience underwriting bespoke tax specific products as well as tax issues within W&I deals. Before underwriting tax risks, she worked in the M&A tax team at KPMG in London advising on tax matters in a diverse range of sectors.
James Dodd - Partner
James is a qualified lawyer who trained and worked at a number of leading US firms in London, including Weil and Shearman & Sterling. He has over seven years experience of underwriting W&I and Specific Contingency risk exposures with particular expertise in major cross-border transactions and high-value emerging markets deals.
James Fletcher - Partner
James is one of the most experienced W&I underwriters in the market, having over 12 years experience underwriting W&I risks. He has led many major W&I insurance placements with particular expertise in real estate, energy and infrastructure risks.
Charles Turnham - Partner
Charles has over eight years’ experience of underwriting W&I and Specific Contingency risks and has led many major insurance placements for both products. Prior to entering the transactional risk insurance market, he worked as an M&A lawyer for two major City firms.

Liria Martinez-Salmon - Managing Director, Head of Southern Europe
Liria, based in Madrid, Spain, is widely recognised in the Transactional Risk market, bringing deep expertise across Spanish, French and Italian transactions in particular. Joining in March 2026, Liria joined Devonshire from RiskPoint, where she served as Head of M&A – Mediterranean, building a strong track record of underwriting complex cross-border deals and developing long-standing relationships with brokers, law firms and private equity sponsors across the region.
Sam Jeater - Director
An accountant by trade, Sam joined Devonshire at its launch in April 2024 and helps lead the team of W&I underwriters in quoting for new opportunities, executing the underwriting of won opportunities and ultimately binding policies on behalf of our capacity providers. Prior to joining the company, Sam had worked for a number of years towards becoming an ACA chartered accountant before starting his career in the transactional risk insurance space in 2021.
Mike Grant - Director
Mike Grant is a Director at Devonshire Underwriting in London. He underwrites upper mid‑market and premium operational transactional risk, with extensive experience in complex carve‑outs and emerging‑market deals. Mike has underwritten transactions across all operational sectors, specialising in financial services, sports and oil & gas transactions, and is focused on expanding Devonshire’s product offering and underwriting transactions across the UK & Europe, MENA, LATAM and ANZ regions.
Robin Muir - Head of Contingent Risk
Robin leads the Contingent Risk offering at Devonshire, placing insurance solutions for specific, known risks both within and outside litigation contexts. Prior to joining Devonshire in January 2025, Robin worked at a US-headquartered global law firm advising on restructuring and insolvency, where he was recognised as a “Key Lawyer” by the Legal 500.
The Team
Kate is a Senior Associate in the Tax team at Devonshire and is dual-qualified as a lawyer in Ireland and England & Wales. Before joining Devonshire, Kate worked as a solicitor at Matheson LLP, advising domestic and international clients on a broad range of issues relating to M&A, corporate restructurings, financing transactions, and tax disputes. Her technical background and legal experience enable a clear, commercially informed approach to evaluating and underwriting tax risks.
Kate Nolan Senior Associate Tax
Ellie joined Devonshire in early 2024 and was promoted to the role of Associate in October 2025. Ellie holds a First Class (hons) degree in Law from the University of Manchester and previously worked at the Competition Appeal Tribunal.
Elinor Jackson Associate
Henry joined Devonshire in April 2024 and works primarily in the W&I team at Devonshire. Prior to joining the company, he graduated from university in 2023 where he studied Human, Social, and Political Sciences.
Henry Denegri Associate
Daniel joined Devonshire as Analyst in January 2025. Prior to joining Devonshire, Daniel studied Politics and Economics at the University of Bath and served in the Royal Navy.
Daniel Kirton Analyst
Lara joined Devonshire in October 2025 as an Analyst, and previously studied Law at King’s College London. Lara brings with her experience from other industries, including Law and Property.
Lara Ghinescu Analyst
Alexander joined Devonshire in April 2026 as an Analyst, having begun his career in Paralegal services. He studied Law at the University of Leeds.
Alexander Dungworth Analyst
Jeanette is responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the business. Her role includes overseeing operational processes, managing bordereaux processing, supporting underwriting activity, and maintaining key financial and reporting systems. Jeanette works closely with brokers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure operations run efficiently and accurately across the business.

Our underwriting partners are a panel of A-rated Lloyd’s syndicates and other insurance companies. Devonshire is able to deploy an automatic per-risk line size of up to EUR 35,000,000 pursuant to the terms of the delegated authority from its insurance partners.
